Accreditation Statement

Nursing CE Central LLC is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

In this course we will cover the various communication types, skills to establish effective communication in nursing, and potential barriers to communication. It will take the average learner 60 minutes to complete.

Course Outcomes

After completing this course, the learner will rate 4 out of 5 on the Likert Scale for their ability to:

1. Execute effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication into everyday practices. 
2. Describe the differences between listening and active listening. 
3. Develop and establish effective communication skills between the nurse and each individual transmission thread. 
4. Identify barriers to effective communication and how to improve communication for successful patient and staff satisfaction outcomes.
