This course is designed for LPN/LVNs, RNs, and APRNs, preparing to provide hemodialysis treatments to clients. This course will discuss the basics of hemodialysis, underlying pathophysiology, different types of hemodialysis access, and important aspects of the nurse’s role in power hemodialysis treatment and maintenance. In addition to current treatment options, this course will also discuss future options and promising research for clients on hemodialysis.
