Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare infection that rapidly progresses and destroys the deep soft tissue. This infection can develop quickly and aggressively over 24-48 hours. Patients with this disease process most likely require a higher level of care, such as critical care. This course is designed as an overview of necrotizing fasciitis and will touch on pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and treatment.
