- Discuss the importance of bioethics in nursing practice.
- Understand basic infection control practices and how to apply them.
- Understand different strategies of caregiving related to Alzheimer’s disease and ways to manage various aspects of behavioral changes of a patient with Alzheimer’s.
- Describe the pathophysiology of Lewy body dementia.
- Identify what behavior constitutes sexual harassment.
- Discuss the different forms of domestic abuse and provide examples of each.
- Have an increased understanding of the history of HIV and how the stigma around the disease developed and is being combated today.
- Describe commonly prescribed opioids for pain management and understand their side effects and indications of use.
