Tracheostomy 101

This course will prepare the nurse to care for a patient with a tracheostomy. The course will review basic respiratory anatomy, physiology and definitions of respiration and ventilation. Tracheostomy placement, types, nursing care, cleaning, suctioning, and patient education will be included.
