  2. Identify state and federal laws governing correct prescription and monitoring of controlled substances.
  3. Describe commonly prescribed opioids for pain management and understand their side effects and indications of use.
  4. Understand the drug classification of tirzepatide
  5. Describe the action of non-insulin injectable diabetes medication semaglutide.
  6. Discuss the prevalence of various substance-related problems among United States citizens.  
  7. Differentiate between the classes of antihypertensives and their mechanism of action. 
  8. Demonstrate understanding of the neurobiological and pathophysiological mechanisms underlying migraines.  
  9. Describe common side effects, including severe possible side effects, of medications used to manage asthma
  10. Describe common side effects, including severe possible side effects, of SSRIs
  11. Identify potential anticoagulants and differentiate between the classes of anticoagulants and their mechanism of action.
  12. Identify the types and uses of Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs).
  13. Describe the effect that corticosteroids have on the immune system.
  14. Discuss the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antiarrhythmic drugs, including drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion.
  15. Differentiate between uncomplicated and complicated UTI and summarize key considerations when prescribing antibiotics for UTI.
